The Drug Information Tool provides a comprehensive list of FDA-registered drugs that you may use to get accurate drug and health information.

Who can access the Drug Information Tool?

This can be accessed by all SwipeRx users living in the following countries:

1. Cambodia
2. Indonesia
3. Malaysia
4. Philippines
5. Vietnam

How to access Drug Information Tool?

1. From the Newsfeed, tap the Education tab on the header to view the Education screen

2. Look for Drug Information (A-Z) and tap the button to access the Drug Information Tool.

3. The list of drugs will be displayed in alphabetical order.

How to search for a drug?

Use the search bar to search for drugs based on brand name or generic name.

Search by Brand Name

1. Type the brand name, can be partial or complete name.
2. After typing, the drug tool will display the search results.
3. Tap a drug to view the drug information.

Search by Generic Name

1. Type the generic name, can be partial or complete name.
2. After typing, the drug tool will display the search results.
3. Tap the preferred generic name
4. The page of the generic name is displayed. A list of brands in alphabetical order is also displayed.
5. Tap a drug to view the drug information.

What are the drug information details?

This is how the information about the drug is displayed.

Below is a table that you can refer to for the drug information. Specific headers with details will appear depending on the information provided to the drug.

Brand Name		This is the name given by the pharmaceutical company that markets the drug
Generic Name	Composition	The drug's active ingredient
Composition		List of materials and ingredients used
Indications	Indication, Dosage & Other	Drug description
Form & Strength		Dosage Form (Ex: Tablet, Capsule, Syrup)
Dosage/Direction for Use		Directions on how to take the drug, how often and how much of the drug is required
Category	Drug Category	Type of drugs that are categorized based on the classification system of the country.
Classification	ATC Classification	The active ingredients of drugs are classified based on the Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical (ATC) Classification. The ingredients are classified into different groups according to the organ or system on which they act and their chemical, pharmacological and therapeutic properties
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Category	Pregnancy & Breastfeeding	The drug is classified based on the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Pregnancy Category in Australia. The displayed category signifies the effect of the drug for pregnant or breastfeeding patients
Adverse Effects		Side effects of the drug
Manufacturer	Producer	Name of the manufacturing pharmaceutical company
Distributor	Registered by	Name of the authorized person, organization, or pharmaceutical company for distributing the drug in specific regions
Packaging		Packaging options and quantity.
Product Image	Packaging	Image of the drug, including the packaging

How to close Drug Information Tool?

If you want to close the Drug Information Tool, simply tab the Home button to go back to the Education tab.
